9 months - 3 years old funding

From Sept 2024

15 hours childcare support was extended to eligible working parents of children from the age of 9 months to 3-year-olds.

From Sept 2025

Eligible working parents of children from 9 months to school age will be entitled to 30 hours of childcare a week.

These hours can be used over 38 weeks of the year, or up to 52 weeks if you use fewer than your total hours per week.

Eligibility Criteria

Working Parents: To qualify for the 30 hours of free childcare, both parents (or the sole parent in a single-parent household) must be working and meet specific income requirements. Each parent must earn at least £9,518 per year but no more than £100,000.

3-4 year old funding

If you have a 3 or 4 year old child you will be entitled to receive up to 15 hours of childcare a week, regardless of your financial circumstances and immigration status.

If you and any partner you live with are working, you may be entitled to receive an additional 15 hours, totalling up to 30 hours.

These hours can be used over 38 weeks of the year, or up to 52 weeks if you use fewer than your total hours per week.

Tax Free Childcare & Free Funded Childcare

The Tax-Free Childcare scheme in the UK is a government initiative that helps working parents with the cost of childcare. It is designed to provide financial support for parents who are working and need to pay for childcare services for children under 12 years old (or 17 years old for children with disabilities).

Free Funded Childcare

We offer fully free funded childcare spaces (15-hour childcare) but have limited availability for this. We have a set number of free spaces per term, and once those spaces are filled, parents may need to look for other providers or wait until additional spaces become available. We currently have a waitlist for fully funded places.

Zebedees Catering hot lunch/dessert: £3.50

All snacks/meals are included for full-timers.

Daily sustainability fee: covers resources, snacks in all sessions and additional staff to allow for smaller ratios within the setting. It also allows you as a parent/carer flexibility with your funded/private hours

4hour sessions: £2.75

4hours+: £4.50

LIMITED FREE CHILDCARE SPACE -

15 hours Free fully funded spaces can only be used 9:30 am-3:30 pm term time only.

You will be charged 0.75p/session unless you wish to bring an apple/banana/satsuma for a snack. No other snacks are permitted due to monitoring allergens. Please opt in or out of snacks when you join.

Free Funded hours are confirmed on a termly basis. Spaces cannot be guaranteed for the next term.

Children in receipt of EYPP will be offered a space until they move on to School and will not be asked to pay the sustainability fee.

Notice of Withdrawal: Particular attention should be paid to our “Terms and Conditions” which outlines the requirement for a full term’s notice in writing to withdraw a child from the setting.

Our sustainability fee is voluntary but please be aware this allows us to remain viable and provide the children with the best possible care. It allows all parents flexibility with hours and enables leadership to make sure the children have the best resources in the settings to deliver the early years curriculum. If we have a vast amount of parents who opt to not pay this we will have to change our funding structure and hours.
